As the situation around the Coronavirus continues to change, we want to keep you updated on the status of our business. Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state of Michigan in the past month and the need for essential items, BUILT Systems has pivoted its focus to help where we can. We have supported the manufacturing of hospital beds and other items needed during this time. We have and will continue to support our customers that are essential to these crucial areas. If you are supplying essential items and need support, we are here to help.

As we begin to get back to normal, we want to ensure our customers that we are still doing everything in our power to prevent the spread of this virus. Before every shift, we have an onsite nurse taking employees’ temperatures before they enter the building. They are also instructed to maintain social distancing of at least six feet while waiting to have their temperatures taken. Once screened and in the building, employees are required to wear gloves to reduce the chances of spreading any germs or viruses. We’ve also increased our cleaning staff by 300% and they’re continuously at work cleaning tools, equipment, and often touched areas. All of our internal meetings have been moved to video conferences and we remind our on-site staff multiple times a day to follow the CDC guidelines.

As we don’t want anyone other than our employees entering the building, we’ve instructed all the trucking companies that their drivers must remain in their trucks during both drop-off and pick-up. In the event one needs to use the restroom, we’ve set up porta-potties outside for their use. The only exception to this is our essential suppliers who need to restock hardware to keep manufacturing running.

Thank you and please contact us with any questions or concerns. Stay safe and do your part to slow the spread. We look forward to working with you and will continue to be your partner for all things manufacturing through these uncertain times.
